Our answers.

IS KOQOON A MORTGAGE?

No. Koqoon is not a lender and our goal is not to replace mortgages. Our program is designed to help renters qualify for a mortgage after saving for 3 to 5 years.

What are the hidden fees?

No hidden fees. It is completely free to enroll in our program. However, if you have found your dream home, we ask for a payment of 2% of the property's value to initiate the purchase process and cover our transaction costs. If you buy back the property, this amount will be deducted from the repurchase price.

How is my budget calculated?

Based on your monthly income and initial savings, we calculate how much you could set aside monthly to qualify for a mortgage loan after 3 years. We cannot guarantee obtaining a loan as this decision lies with the bank, but we base our calculations on the most recent qualification criteria used by banks.

What will be my monthly rent?

The monthly rent is based on a fair market rent for your region and type of property and is the same rent you would pay if you were not renting the property from Koqoon.

Am i obliged to buy back the home?

You can always choose not to buy the property and leave whenever you want. If your rental contract for the property is still in effect, you will, of course, need to fulfill it first. If you wish to break the rental contract, you may have to pay compensation according to the terms of the contract. We will retain your initial contribution of 2% to cover the transaction costs of the resale.
